Hazardous Materials
814 Cotton Street
May 16, 2012

At 3:00pm Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to a reported gas leak at the Providence House. Upon arrival Shreveport Fire could not locate the gas leak. The Providence House was evacuated. Due to the heat and long hours Signal 51 was paged out around 4:40pm. Shreveport Police Department called a barricade truck to block of nearby streets. Most of the refreshments that were served went to residents of the Providence House. CenterPoint Energy was called out to cap the gas leak.
